As a result of the cooperation between AzeDer and INKA, more than twenty Azerbaijani students were provided with part-time work at the “LifeStyle Expo ‘13” international exhibition held in Istanbul on November 12-16. In this exhibition, where our students work for 5 days, they improve their work experience and develop their communication skills in a foreign language. It should be noted that more than 220 companies from different countries participated in the exhibition, which was organized for the 10th time.
New projects to be organized in cooperation with AzeDer-INKA will be announced in the near future.
Meeting with the Member of the European Parliament
Chairman of AzeDer Rashad Abdullayev met in Brussels with Niki Tzavela, the Member of Greek Parliament, Member of the European Parliament Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, as well as the Member of the delegation of the European Union – Turkey Parliamentary Commission. Informing the Greek MP about the activity of AzeDer, Mr. Abdullayev noted that one of the goals of the organization is to create conditions for Azerbaijani students to practice in the international organizations. From this point of view, they cooperate with the European Parliament and work for the further expansion of this cooperation.
Ms. Tzavela expressed her satisfaction with the meeting and said that the internship of Azerbaijani students in the European Parliament will have a significant positive impact on them in terms of career. She emphasized the importance of admission of more students to the internship as they are successful in the activities and noted that the internship quota allocated to AzeDer will be increased by holding the necessary negotiations in the near future.
On Saturday, November 16, a meeting was held with the student coordinators of 11 universities, including Istanbul Technical University, Marmara University, Istanbul University, Bahçeşehir University, Kultur University, Yildiz Technical University, Fatih University, Çapa Medical Faculty and Istanbul Aydın University.
The purpose of the meeting was to bring together the university coordinators, to listen to the problems that our students face outside of education and training, and to discuss these problems.
At the meeting, the issues of residence problems faced by newly arrived students in Turkey, internship issues of students studying in the field of medicine, the importance of medical insurance were discussed.
